Scottish malachite sterling quartz brooch. Late Victorian early Edwardian circa 1890-1900. Malachite panel brooch measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/2" wide.The brooch is marked 925 on the back. There are no other hallmarks. The malachite is cut into panels and set into the brooch the center stone is prong set and open to the back. The pin catch is a rolling lock. This piece is quite heavy weighing over 21 grams.
